In the Communication and Public Relationships team of the Research & Innovation Centre, he is engaged mostly in scientific dissemination projects, both in the communication programmes of research projects, and in events of popularization of science. Among other tasks, the coordination of visits to Res. & Innov. Center of FEM.
Research still engages part of his work, particularly concerning instrumental series climatology, climate simulations involving also the future evolution scenarios, issues of “climate smart agriculture”, and, more recently, retrieve and valorization of old meteorological archives and the relevant historical issues.
Born in Trento in 1964, in 1990 he got a Master Degree cum laude in Environmental Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. At the Fondazione Mach – Istituto Agrario di S. Michele all’Adige since 1995, he strengthened his knowledge of the atmospheric sciences and of agro-meteorology, also attending to several specific courses and seminars, particularly on weather forecasting. For eleven years since 1997 (starting of the meteorological service for Trentino) he worked as a weather forecaster for the local meteorological service (Meteotrentino). Eventually he focused his scientific interest on local climatology and the interaction between climate and plants, especially crop phenology. He was for five years at the head of the Technological Platform “Dynamics of Agro-ecosystems”. Lately he engaged in science communication topics, joining since 2016 the Communication and Public Relationships team of the Research & Innovation Centre.
