Schiava Grossa and Schiava Gentile grapes in various clonal selections.
Fachinelli plot, located at an altitude of 250 m.a.s.l., south of the town of San Michele dell’Adige, north-west exposure. Calcareous soil, medium texture with abundant gravel, clay 12-15%, good organic matter supply, low potassium content.
Installation dated 1994, vine density 4.200 plants/hectare, simple Trentino pergola cultivation method.
Grapes harvested by hand during the last ten days of September, output of 90-100 quintals/hectare (4 kg/vine).
Traditional red wine vinification process with 8-day maceration at 25°C. Refined for 6 months in steel tanks.
Numbers of bottles produced
Serve at 14°C.
Tasting notes and table companions
Pale, brilliant red colour. Fruity, vinous aroma; extremely soft and pleasantly acidolous.
Just right with charcuterie and light first courses; perfect with pizza.
