Production area

Doss plot, located at an altitude of 200 m a.s.l. in a hilly area, south of the town of San Michele; flat position, western exposure. Moraine deposit with mainly limestone-dolomite mineralogy, medium texture, deep, good organic matter content and balanced content of nutrients.

Vineyard characteristics

Planted in 1991, vine density 5.600 plants/hectare, vertical-trellised with guyot training.

Harvest

Grapes harvested by hand during the second decade of September, average output of 60-70 quintals/hectare (1,2 kg/vine).

Vinification

White wine vinification process with cold maceration of crushed grapes; fermentation partly conducted in small oak barrels and partly in steel containers. Long stay on the lees to enrich in taste and structure.

Serve at a temperature of 10 - 12°C

Tasting notes and table companions

Intense straw-yellow colour; excellent aromatic combination with fruity, flowery and spicy overtones. Full, well-structured taste.

It is a solidly-built wine, perfect as an aperitif, suitable for first courses even those with strong flavours.
