Grapes
Chardonnay grapes in various clonal selections.

Production area 
Navicello plot, located in a plain area, south-west of the town of Rovereto, along the course of the Adige River;south-west exposure. Alluvial soil, deep, well drained, significant active lime content, discreet presence of skeleton, sandy-loamy structure, sufficient organic substance supply.

Vineyard characteristics 
Installation dated 1990, vine density 4.700 plants/hectare, vertical-trellised, cordon-trained and spur-pruned. Vineyards managed according to the criteria of organic viticulture since 1994.

Harvest 
Hand picking performed in the first ten days of September, average output of 80-90 quintals/hectare (1,9 kg/vine).

Vinification 
White wine vinification process with partial cold maceration of crushed grapes. Fermentation in steel containers and in French oak barriques.

Serving temperature and table companions 
Serve at a temperature of 8-10°C. 

Tasting notes and table companions
Straw-yellow colour with golden highlights. Fruity, full-bodied, extremely varietal aroma. Soft, balanced, lingering taste.

This is a well-built wine, which can be served with strongly-flavoured or smoked meat or fish and is fine with strongly-flavoured first courses too.
