Grapes
Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in various clonal selections.

Production area 
Navicello plot, located in a plain area, south-west of the town of Rovereto, along the course of the Adige River;south-west exposure. Alluvial soil, deep, well drained, significant active lime content, discreet presence of skeleton, sandy-loamy structure, sufficient organic substance supply.

Vineyard characteristics 
Installation dated 1990, vine density 4.700 plants/hectare, vertical-trellised, cordon-trained and spur-pruned. Vineyards managed according to the criteria of organic viticulture since 1994.

Harvest 
Hand picking performed in the first ten days of September, average output of 80-90 quintals/hectare (1,9 kg/vine).

Vinification 
Traditional red wine vinification process compliant with organic farming procedures; 8-day maceration at 25°C, refining for 10 monthas in small oak barrels.

Serving temperature and table companions 
Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C. 

Tasting notes and table companions
Intense ruby red colour; spicy, fruity and elegant aroma; pleasantly tannin-rich, well-structured, lingering taste.

Its structure and elegance lend themselves to accompanying strongly-flawoured first courses as well as complex first courses.
